For the Gujarat Titans, David Miller and Rashid Khan bowled brilliantly and claimed victory under Rashid Khan’s captaincy, which is their fifth victory.
The 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was played between the Chinese Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans. The Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to field the Chinese Super Kings first. In the absence of Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan led the Gujarat team.
The Chinese Super Kings scored 169 runs in the allotted 20 overs with five wickets in hand, including Roturaj Gaikwad’s 73, Ambati Rayudu’s 46 and Ravindra Jadeja’s 22 unbeaten runs. Gujarat’s Alzari Giuseppe 2, Yash Dial and Mohammad Shami took 1-1 wickets. Rashid Khan did not fire any players.
In pursuit of the 170-run target, though the Gujarat Titans started the innings poorly and lost three wickets in quick succession, then David Miller bowled well and Rashid Khan also assisted him in this regard. Completed 7 wickets in 19.5 overs and claimed his fifth victory.
David Miller hit 94 off 51 balls while Rashid Khan hit 40 off 21 balls. Dwayne Bravo (3), Mahesh Tekshana (2), Mukesh Chaudhary and Ravindra Jadeja took 1-1 wickets each for the Chinese Super Kings.
It is worth mentioning that this was the sixth match of Gujarat Titans which won its fifth match and is the first team in the table with 10 points.
The 30th match of the EPL will be played tomorrow between Rajasthan Royals and Calcutta Knight Riders. The match starts at 6:30 a.m. Afghan time.
