Mullah Abdul Ghani Biradar, Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said that all girls’ schools may be reopened soon.
Speaking during a visit to Farah province without elaborating, he said good steps would be taken to open all girls’ schools above the sixth grade.
Mullah Biradar’s remarks come as the Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Education has already assured its readiness to open girls’ schools. Education ministry officials say they will reopen all schools without delay if the Islamic Emirate’s leadership orders them to do so.
