The people of Afghanistan have lost Prince Ahmad Shah from our legendary royal family—whose era is memorized by us all like a heavenly breeze of the fairytale old days of our beloved King, His Majesty the late Zahir Shah. After the demise of the kingdom, Afghanistan has never arisen from the infernal dungeon, nor could Afghans stop shedding endless blood and tears. Our hearts are mourning while our homeland is sinking into a Jahliah dug out by the ruling Pakistani Generals. His Majesty liked Alexander the Great for his love for our country, as he once said, “When Alexander arrived in Afghanistan, he told his entourage: I saw all the beauties of the world at once, I don’t want to see anywhere else.”
When Alexander built a famous stone castle in Afghanistan and founded our beloved Kandahar, he famously remarked: “God must have loved Afghans because he made them so beautiful.”
The dear prince Ahmad Shah died in a foreign land while his eyes were fixed on his bleeding homeland, and his heart murmured the words: take me back to my homeland where I can rest with my fathers.
