The Turkish embassy in Kabul said the aid, which was sent to Afghanistan by train in the name of goodwill, had been distributed to 800 needy families in Ghor. The embassy said in a tweet that the aid was provided in collaboration with its country’s Red Crescent Society, the Ministry of Internal Disasters and Emergency Management and the Turkish Coordination Office in Kabul.
According to the Turkish embassy, the number of families receiving humanitarian assistance has risen to 28,000.
