At the same time, the electric company said in a statement that the third turbine of the Salma Dam is currently generating more than 30 megawatts of electricity.
The statement said that in addition to utilizing domestic power sources, the electric company also pays close attention to the maintenance and upkeep of electric plants.
The electric company has announced the commissioning of the third turbine of the Salma Dam, despite the fact that there has been no spring rain in the southern provinces this year and there are fears that the drought will intensify.
In recent years, Herat’s Salma Dam turbines have been unable to generate electricity due to water shortages.
