At least eight security personnel of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan have been killed in a traffic accident in western Herat province, security officials said on Monday. The incident took place just before noon when a Ranger collided with a truck on the Herat-Islam Qala highway in the Ghorian district of Herat province, killing eight security personnel, officials said. One person was killed and another was injured. According to officials, the accident took place due to the negligence of the drivers.
