Monday marks the fifth day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The United States and the European Union have condemned the attack and provided a range of aid to Ukraine.
A number of countries, including the United States and Canada, have provided defense and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the attack, according to the report.
The United States has pledged an additional 350 million in aid to Ukraine. In that sense, it is possible for the United States to provide more than 1 billion in aid to Ukraine over the past year.
For the first time in its history, the European Union is financing the purchase and delivery of weapons to an invading country. EU leaders have agreed to provide 500 million worth of weapons to Ukraine.
EU foreign policy chief Giuseppe Boris said some European countries would supply fighter jets to Ukraine.
The group said Russian warplanes would be delivered to Ukraine because its pilots were familiar with them.
The Canadian government has said it will provide a 392 million loan to Ukraine in addition to military aid. Canada says it is helping Ukraine to defend itself against Russian aggression.
Germany says it will send 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 anti-aircraft Stinger to Ukraine. Germany is the first country under attack to supply such weapons. Germany also sends 15,000 vehicles and 10,000 tons of fuel to Ukraine.
Sweden has also promised to supply Ukraine with 5,000 anti-tank rockets. Denmark has promised to supply 2,700 such weapons. Norway has said it will send armored personnel carriers and vests to Ukrainian forces.
France has sent anti-aircraft weapons, digital weapons and fuel to Ukraine.
Belgium has said it will send 3,000 automatic rifles, 200 anti-tank rockets and 3,800 tonnes of fuel to Ukraine’s defense and security forces.
The Dutch Ministry of Defense has said it will soon pay Ukraine 200 for the downing of the aircraft. The country has also said it will send sniper rifles and protective helmets to Ukraine.
The Prague government says it will send about 4,000 mortars, 30,000 pistols, 7,000 assault rifles, 3,000 machine guns and one million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine.
Croatia sends 16 million worth of light weapons and armored vests to Ukraine.
The Portuguese government has said it will provide Ukrainian forces with night-vision goggles, bulletproof vests, helmets, grenades, ammunition and automatic G-3 pistols.
Greece is scheduled to send defense equipment to Ukraine, but has not yet commented. A number of Greek nationals reside in Ukraine. Ukraine says 10 civilians have been killed and several others are trapped in fighting in Russia.
Ukraine’s neighbor Romania has set aside 11 military hospitals to treat Ukraine’s war wounded. The country has sent three million euros worth of anti-missile vests, helmets, fuel and other military equipment to Ukraine.
So far, Italy has provided 110 million euros to Ukraine, the United States 54 54 million, Germany 16 million euros, Norway, the Netherlands and Spain about 20 tons of medical and defense supplies, Israel 100 tons of essential supplies, three vehicles and Greece.
