Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s brother Shahbaz Sharif has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan. He won 174 votes in the Pakistani parliament today and was elected as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. Former Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been nominated for the PM’s job by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, but recently withdrew his candidacy, leaving Shahbaz Sharif as the sole candidate. Who became prime minister with 174 votes. He will arrive at the Presidential Palace in a few hours and will be sworn in.
