Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbuddin Naib welcomed former Pakistan cricketer Younis Khan as the coach of the Afghan team.
Younis Khan and Omar Gul have been appointed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) as short-term bowling advisors.
The two are scheduled to meet briefly at the Afghan team’s training camp in the United Arab Emirates, where they will train Afghan players.
Younis Khan tweeted in one of his tweets about the appointment of an Afghan bowling coach and wrote, “I have been wanting to work with the Afghan team for a long time and we have been talking about this since 2011.” Well, at the time I was still playing, but now the time has come and this is an opportunity for me to work with Afghan players in the UAE.
Gulbuddin Naib has also responded to Younis Khan’s tweet and has written to him, “Welcome, ladies, come anytime.”
