The official Twitter account of the team said that Rashid Khan has been appointed as the vice-captain. The captain of this team is the famous Indian player Pandey. The Gujarat Titans are the new team in the IPL.

Two other Afghan players, Rahmanullah Garbiz and Noor Ahmad Laknawal are also in the squad.
Writers and Grubbs are playing in the IPL for the first time. Rashid Khan has been playing in the IPL for several years and had previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The IPL match started yesterday and tomorrow, Monday, March 28 is the first match of Gujarat Titans.
