The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has, as always, congratulated Muslims on Ramadan.
Justin Trudeau posted a video message on his official Twitter account, beginning the video with greetings and congratulating all Muslims around the world, including Canada, on the holy month of Ramadan.
Today, Muslims across Canada and around the world are celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, Justin Trudeau said in a video message. It is a time of worship, a time of reflection and self-control, and a celebration of the core values of Islam, such as peace, compassion and generosity.
At the end of his message, Justin Trudeau congratulated the entire Islamic world on the occasion of Ramadan and said:
Many Gulf and Western countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Afghanistan, have declared a fast today, and today is the first day of Ramadan in those countries.
It is to be noted that Pakistan, Oman, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh and other countries have not fasted today, but may fast tomorrow.
