Debra Lines, the UN special envoy for Afghanistan, met in Kabul with the Taliban’s acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Mottaki, to discuss humanitarian aid, human rights, development projects and Afghanistan’s banking issues.
She wrote on Twitter:

According to a statement from the Taliban’s foreign ministry, Debra Lions shared details of her report with Mottaki at a recent Security Council meeting.
Mottaki also spoke about the extension of the UN mission in Afghanistan, saying he hoped it would have a positive effect on Afghanistan.
The United Nations last week extended its mission in Afghanistan for another year.
