The speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, has called for a special session of the National Assembly on Friday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at the request of the opposition.
The opposition had filed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan on March 8 in the office of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Opposition parties have stated in a joint statement issued on March 20 that the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister and the political situation will not affect the upcoming meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad.
The OECD meeting is scheduled to be held on March 22 and 23 at the National Assembly building under the theme “Building Partnership for Partnership, Justice, and Development”.
