Bannu Jirga’s 25-point statement on Durand Line, women’s rights, national resources and Afghanistan
The Pashtun Qaumi Jirga in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, issued a statement calling for the Jirga to be an independent body, and suggested that a committee be set up to work together to implement the decisions and objectives of the representative Pashtun Qaumi Jirga. The Pashtun National Jirga was held in Bannu on March 11, 12 and 13 under the auspices of the Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNA).

The Jirga called for the formation of a united national province on the lands of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Southern Pakhtunkhwa, including Mianwali and Attock.
The Jirga has called for a fact-finding and reconciliation commission for the decades-long war in Pakhtunkhwa, and for the establishment of a fact-finding mission under the auspices of the Jirga and a committee to investigate the killing of Pashtuns in Karachi on 12 May 2007. .
