Bahrain condemns terrorist attack on UAE ambassador to Afghanistan

taandcom January 11, 2017
Kandahar

The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned on Tuesday the heinous terrorist attack on the guesthouse of the Kandahar Governor’s guesthouse, which injured Juma Al Kaabi, the UAE Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, a number of Emirati diplomats and the governor of Kandahar.

The Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs wished a speedy recovery to those injured and hailed the significant humanitarian efforts being made by the UAE for the development of Afghanistan.

”The Kingdom of Bahrain affirms its full solidarity with the UAE as it continues its efforts to establish peace and security at regional and international levels. It also emphasised its stand with friendly Afghanistan in its fight against all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement, carried by Bahrain News Agency, BNA, on Tuesday.

The statement reiterated Bahrain’s principled position against terrorism regardless of its motives and justifications and called for mobilising regional and international efforts to eradicate the dangerous phenomenon that threatens countries of the world.
