A state of emergency has been declared in Pakistan following the ongoing political crisis. The military presence in the Pakistani capital Islamabad has reportedly increased and sanctions have been imposed on the country’s airports. Pakistan’s airports have been instructed not to allow any government official to travel, and senior government officials, including members of parliament, have been banned from leaving. Hospitals and the military have also been ordered to be on standby and police leave has been postponed. Military movements around Pakistan’s key government buildings and the presence of military vehicles and tanks have increased. Meanwhile, talks are underway between the army and Imran Khan and Imran Khan has denied rumors that Gawaki Bajwa has been sacked. The head of Pakistan’s Supreme Court has again called on the media to suspend military operations. Pakistani and international media say the situation is changing every moment
