A provincial council of religious scholars has been formed in Zabul. BNA reported, according to the decree of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, the Provincial Council of Religious Scholars in Zabul has officially started functioning. The sources added that the council has 20 members, including the chairman, deputy chairman and finance and administration officer, three of whom are tribal elders and influential people. Before the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, there was talk of holding a Loya Jirga of religious scholars.
