The acting interior minister, including Anas Haqqani, met with a number of tribal elders from Khost, Paktia, and Paktika provinces on Wednesday, March 30, to discuss their problems and solutions.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani called on the tribal elders to pay serious attention to women’s rights and eradicate the false traditions that deprive women of their Sharia rights. He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate was not seeking revenge.
