US President Joe Biden has called on all Americans remaining in Ukraine to leave the country immediately.
Mr. Biden says if Russia invades Ukraine, it will not send troops to rescue the remaining Americans.
Mr. Biden said: “The situation in the region is rapidly going mad.”
The State Department has also called on Americans living in Ukraine to leave the country immediately.
President Biden said: “The Americans must leave now. We are involved with one of the largest armies in the world, the situation is very different and everything can go crazy.”
He was asked if there were any plans to send troops to rescue the Americans if they fled.
Mr Biden said: “No! No, it will be a world war, with Americans and Russians shooting at each other. We are in a changed world.”
