Officials at the Balkh Vegetable Oil and Cotton Factory say that with the activation of the main production machines, their production and revenue will double.
The director of the company, Engineer Fereydoon, said that last year’s revenue was 25 million afghanis, but this year, with the activation of the main production machines, the revenue level will reach 6 million afghanis.
Fereydoun added that he had bought four oil extraction machines in Uzbekistan, each with the capacity to process raw materials such as flax, sesame, and soybeans.
According to Fereydoun, the plant used to produce 200 kg of oil per day but in the next few days it will produce 500 kg of oil per day with the operation of the main machines.
