At least 24 Daesh insurgents were killed in military operations in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, the security forces in a statement on Sunday.
The operation was launched by Afghan Army’s 201 Selab Military Corps in Achin district few weeks ago.
The statement said that most parts of the district have been cleared of insurgents but the operation is ongoing, reports Tolo news.
The statement, however, did not provide details of casualties among the security forces.
