We can disagree with one another. We have right to criticize one another. We can have different approaches towards understanding a matter, and can have different political affiliations. We can positively dissent with one another in policies. But, human values do not allow us to propagate falsely against our rivals. Doing such is the worst kind of shamelessness which is prevalent in our society in the presence of social media penetration. Those who do such testify that in what environment they have been brought up and how family nourishment matters.
Those, whose forefathers were bondsmen of the British and spent their lives in spying for the British against the common Pashtoons for their petty interests_ those who were on the parole of the Britishers, and were paid are now telling the common Pashton about patriotism. They have been telling us about the family background of those whose ancestors were on the frontline’s against the British imperialism and protected the motherland with their blood and stood firmly against all atrocities inflicted upon them.
When someone’s political rival can not compete against its opponent he starts negative agenda setting, false propaganda, naming and shaming, and abusing. They start twisting the realities and aim to counter their rivals via sabotaging historical facts. It is due to the reality that they have nothing to present against its rivals before the masses. They just beat the drum.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai has a lustering family background of resistance around 300 years. He is the son of Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai who was the son of Noor Muhammad Khan Achakzai. Noor Muhammad was the son of Sultan Muhammad while Sultan Muhammad was the son of Inayatullah Khan. Retired professor, former Managing director of Baluchistan education foundation and intellectual Professor Dr. Abdul Tawab also belongs to this renowned family who is the son of Abdul Wahab Khan who isnthe son of Abdul Shakoor. He is the son of Abdul Hakeem Khan, who is the son of Najeebullah while Najeebullah Khan is the son of Inayatullah Khan.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Professor Dr. Abdul Tawab Khan ancestral tree meet at Inayatullah Khan. Inayatullah Khan was the son of Bostan Khan while Bostan was the son of Barkordar Khan. It is the same Barkhordar Khan who was one of the banner commanders of Ahmad Shah Abdali and fought vehemently against the Marhatas in the third war of Panipat in 1761. Another ancestor of Mehmood Khan Achakzai was Ghazi Abdullah Khan who fought against the British in the first Anglo_Afghan war.
The ancestral background, bravery, and services of Barkhordar Khan have been well articulated by Abdul Shakoor Rishad in his book “Compatriots of Ahmad Shah Abdali”. The readers of this opinion can also find immense information about Barkhordar Khan in books such as “Zaib Tareekha,” book “Ahwal Najeeb Ul Dowla.” Amd Dr. Ganda Sing book Ahmad Shah Durrani.
Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai and Abdul Ghaffar Khan were contemporary and friends who both stood for a separate Pahtoon province in Pakistan. After the dissolution of one unit, when the then NWFP was made a separate province while the Pahtoon majority areas of Balochistan were included in the province of current Balochistan, they parted ways from each other from the platform of the NAP. An autonomous Pashtun province in Pakistan was also the stance of Wali Khan. Himayatullah writes in his work Pakistan National Awami Party: Nature and direction of politics that, “Expressing his version of Pashtunistan, Abdul Wali Khan stated that like Abdul Ghaffar Khan his demand of Pashtunistan meant an autonomous Pakhtun province within Pakistan.” Unfortunately, when Mehmood Khan Achakzai talks of that immature decision by Wali Khan and Bacha Khan, the abusive brigade of the ANP starts criticizing Mehmood Khan Achakzai and initiate fake campaign of ancestral linkage.
We have hundreds of examples of those Pashtun backstabbers (whose sucessors are now propagating against Mehmood Khan Achakzai,s ancestral background) who (The backstabbes) helped the British against Pashtun freedom fighters for their petty self_ interests. But, here, i restrain as I m not brought up in an environment which allows me to disgrace them. For readers, i just pinpoint the reality to have a look of the British military recruitment figures of 1929 and then deeply count how many Pashtuns (whose successors now call themselves as the sole representatives of the Pashtun nation) from Balochistan and the former NWFP were the part of the British Army.
The Pashtun as a nation is at a very critical juncture where it is in the clinches of societal decay, economic crunch, disunity, insecurity, and where the socioeconomic indicators and the HDI are one of the worst stages in the world. At a time, when the nation needs integration and stratagems to pull out the sinking boat from the whirlpool, propagating and abusing its leadership is deplorable, immature, and unacceptable. Those who are involved in such campaigns against leadership for individual self_ interests can never be portrayed as friends of the common Pashtuns rather, they can be called muscularly as the enemies of the Pashtun nation. We must kick off such black Sheef from our lines.
