The king of Dubai has lost a lawsuit against his ex-wife in a London court

Dubai’s ex-wife has been given sole responsibility for the children’s schooling and healthcare following a ruling by the London High Court alleging that her husband had insulted her.

The British judge ruled that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum had a consistently “controlling and coercive” attitude.
The decision is expected to be a key factor in a series of lawsuits between Sheikh Mohammed, 72, and his sixth wife, Princess Haya bint al-Hussein, 47.
Princess Haya, the daughter of Jordan’s former King Malik Hussein, fled to Britain in 2019 and has lived in the country ever since.
In a court ruling released on Thursday, a senior British and Wales family judge, Sir Andrew McFarlane, a senior judge, limited Sheikh Mohammed’s responsibilities to a 14-year-old daughter of Sheikh Mohammed and a 10-year-old son Zayed.
Despite the young age, the names of both children can be mentioned, the judge said.
In his ruling, the judge acknowledged that Sheikh Mohammed loved his children and loved them, but said that he had accepted responsibility for his ex-wife’s behavior and regretted his actions. Behavioral effects are ignored.
Judge Sir Andrew found that Sheikh Mohammed’s behavior with his ex-wife was “at such a level of domestic violence that it was completely out of the range of examples found in the cases of this family court.” ”
After fleeing to Britain three years ago, Princess Haya asked the court to take her children into her care and asked for an investigation into Sheikh Mohammed.

Billionaire Sheikh Mohammed, the ruler of Dubai, the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and an influential sports facilitator, initially demanded that his children be sent back to Dubai, but later agreed to stay in the UK.
He also recently admitted that he would not have direct contact with his children.
The court was told that this meant that he would not see his children face to face, but could contact them indirectly, for example by telephone.
After arriving in the UK from the UAE in April 2019, Princess Haya said that after she found out, Sheikh Mohammed had forcibly repatriated his two daughters, Sheikh Latifa and Sheikh Shamsa, to Dubai against their will. Concerned neo-hippies and their global warming, i’ll tell ya.
