Apple\u2019s iOS 15.4 is now available to download on your iPhone, as the tech giant previewed at its \u201cPeak Performance\u201d event last week.<\/p>\n<p>iOS 15.4, the latest update to Apple\u2019s iPhone software, is here and one of the biggest new features is the ability to use Face ID with a mask on. If you\u2019ve ever tried to unlock your iPhone or use Apple Pay with a mask on, you know that it\u2019s pretty much impossible. Usually, you have to either manually type in your passcode or pull your mask down under your chin \u2014 but those days are over.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In iOS 15.4, Face ID can recognize the unique features around your eye area. So you can unlock your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 and use Apple Pay while wearing a face mask.<\/p>\n<p>Just go to Settings and tap Face ID &amp; Passcode to set it up. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/24GBoDGz7X\">pic.twitter.com\/24GBoDGz7X<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Apple Support (@AppleSupport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AppleSupport\/status\/1503424812655562754?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 14, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>As long as you have an iPhone 12 or later running iOS 15.4, you can easily go into your phone\u2019s settings and toggle on the new setting, which uses the features around your eyes to authenticate that it\u2019s really you, even with a mask on.<\/p>\n<p>You no longer have to pull your mask off in public to unlock your iPhone or use Apple Pay.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s new iPhone update, iOS 15.4, arrived Monday, and with it the introduction of 37 new emoji based on Unicode Version 14. The emoji additions follow Apple\u2019s \u201cPeek Performance\u201d event last week and five beta versions of the operating system.<\/p>\n<p>Other notable emoji include pictograms for pregnant people, a saluting face, and numerous multiracial handshakes.
