Several sources have confirmed to the BBC that the condition of a child who fell into a deep well in the southern Afghan province of Zabul is deteriorating.<\/p>\n
A local reporter said rescue efforts were still ongoing and that evacuation equipment had been stepped up.<\/p>\n
The reporter added that the child’s health condition is not good and he was pulled from the well last night and is now trapped in a narrow space in the middle.<\/p>\n
The source said rescue efforts are underway and the baby might not be pulled out of the well by the end of the day.<\/p>\n
An official from Zabul’s information and culture department also told the BBC that the child had fallen off the road and was trapped in the middle of a well.<\/p>\n
According to the official, some equipment fell on the child from above but rescue work is underway.<\/p>\n
The incident took place in a remote area of \u200b\u200bQalat, the capital of Zabul province.<\/p>\n
The baby is about six years old and has fallen into 35 meter deep well.<\/p>\n
