Senegalese President Macky Sall has rewarded players of the country’s national football team with cash and land prizes for winning the Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n
A special ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace to honor the players.<\/p>\n
At the ceremony, the president announce $87,000 for each member of the national football team and a plot of land in the capital, Dakar, and another nearby city.<\/p>\n
“There is no point in saying how proud we are, how happy we are and how grateful we are to you,” Mr.Sall said at the ceremony.<\/p>\n
“You have changed the history of the country with your initiative and your vital force,” said the president, who was stand next to trophy.<\/p>\n
Senegal’s president has called on national football team coach Alio Casey to lead team to the semi-finals of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.<\/p>\n
“We dreamed of this cup. You made our dream come true,” said President Sall.<\/p>\n
Senegal’s national football team defeated Egypt 4-2 in the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon on Sunday.<\/p>\n
